The field continued to grow Thursday evening at Orange City Poker as Flight 1C of the $100,000 Guaranteed $300 Kickoff added another 74 entries to the May Deep Stack Series opener.
After the field played down to the final 10 players, Dan D’Alessandro secured the Flight 1C chip lead after bagging 416,500 in chips.
D’Alessandro is one of the more accomplished players to advance thus far, with more than $183,000 in documented live tournament earnings. His résumé includes a 400th-place finish in the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event for $36,000, a sixth-place finish in the Heartland Poker Tour Daytona Beach Main Event for more than $18,000, and numerous victories throughout the Daytona Beach and Orange City poker circuits.
Through the first three starting flights, the $300 Kickoff has now reached:
- 246 total entries
- 33 bags collected for Day 2
- $61,500 toward the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool
Rolando Martinez continues to hold the overall chip lead after his Flight 1A performance of 501,000.
Two players have already successfully multi-bagged the event, earning themselves an additional $1,000 bonus from the prize pool while carrying their largest stack forward into Day 2.
Players returning for Day 2 are currently scheduled to resume in Level 14 with 12 minutes and 38 seconds remaining on the clock.
The remaining starting flights for the $300 Kickoff are:
- Flight 1D: Friday, May 15th at 11:10am
- Flight 1E: Friday, May 15th at 5:10pm
- Flight 1F: Saturday, May 16th at 11:10am
- Flight 1G: Saturday, May 16th at 4:10pm (20-minute levels)
- Day 2: Sunday, May 17th at 11:10am
With the weekend flights approaching, anticipation continues to build as players chase a Day 2 bag and a share of the six-figure guaranteed prize pool.
