The Showdown Series kept the momentum rolling with Events 5, 6, and 7, as players packed the poker room for a diverse slate of tournaments that awarded more than $50,000 in prize money and three coveted seats into the Main Event. From the Seniors event to mixed-game action and a Triple Stack tournament, each event crowned a new champion and added another chapter to an exciting series.
Event 5: $300 Seniors 50+ NLH
The Seniors event drew a strong turnout with 136 total entries, creating a $25,000 prize pool. After a full day of action, Jennifer Frankenstein emerged victorious following a three-way chop at the final table.
For her win, Frankenstein earned $3,631 in prize money along with a $400 seat into Event 8, the Showdown Series Main Event. The victory secured her place among this year’s growing list of series champions.
Event 6: $300 Mixed 5 Card PLO / Big O
Mixed-game specialists took center stage in Event 6, where players battled in a combination of 5 Card Pot-Limit Omaha and Big O. The event attracted 99 total entries, generating a $17,250 prize pool and easily surpassing the $5,000 guarantee.
Bradley Peterson claimed the title following a five-way deal. Peterson collected $2,957 and a $400 Main Event seat, adding his name to the list of Showdown Series winners. The impressive turnout showcased the continued popularity of mixed games among the tournament field.
Event 7: $200 Triple Stack NLH
The action continued in Event 7, the $200 Triple Stack No-Limit Hold’em, which drew 55 entrants, creating a total prize pool of $9,075.
When the dust settled, Eric Dillon stood alone atop the field, capturing the title outright. Dillon earned $3,252 for the victory along with a $400 seat into the Showdown Series Main Event.
