The Ride Has Ended for Gary Kiedaisch

End of the road for Gary Kiedaisch

Day 2 of the Quarter Million Multi-Room Mayhem saw the end of the road for Gary Kiedaisch, who finished in 252nd place, earning $356 for his efforts.

Starting the day with just 120,000 chips, Gary knew the pressure was on. “The pay jumps are so far apart I had to make a move,” he explained. “I went all in three times. The first two times, I hit okay. The last time, I had pair nines, only three other people to act, and I went all in with it. The guy had queens. I’m fine with it.”

True to his easygoing attitude, Gary didn’t dwell on the knockout. “I’ve got some friends I want to visit anyway. I figured either make your move and get up quick, or go home.”

Reflecting on the tournament, Gary was full of praise for the event and his experience both on and off the tables. “I had a great match. I enjoyed myself, won a little bit of money playing cash, played here and in Daytona for a while. I was here last night for like six or seven hours. Just had a great time.”

When asked what he’d say to fellow players back in West Virginia, Gary didn’t hesitate. “Sure, anybody I talk to, I’d recommend it. We’ll get them to come. Some people were already talking about coming down anyway.”

Gary leaves with cash in his pocket, new memories, and a smile — the mark of a player who truly enjoyed the ride.
