The May Deep Stack Series is officially underway at Orange City Poker, and the $300 Kickoff wasted no time building momentum.
Day 1A of the $100,000 Guaranteed $300 Kickoff drew 90 entries, putting $22,500 toward the guaranteed prize pool. After the field played down to the top 12.5%, 12 players advanced to Day 2 on Sunday, May 17th at 11:10am.
Leading the way is Rolando Martinez, who bagged an impressive 501,000 in chips. The average stack heading into Day 2 currently sits at 225,000.
Players begin with 30,000 in chips, and this is a best-stack-forward event. Any player who bags multiple stacks will take their largest stack forward and receive a $1,000 bonus from the prize pool for each additional bag, up to three total bonuses.
The remaining starting flights for the $300 Kickoff are as follows:
- Flight 1B: Thursday, May 14th at 11:10am
- Flight 1C: Thursday, May 14th at 5:10pm
- Flight 1D: Friday, May 15th at 11:10am
- Flight 1E: Friday, May 15th at 5:10pm
- Flight 1F: Saturday, May 16th at 11:10am
- Flight 1G: Saturday, May 16th at 4:10pm (20-minute levels)
- Day 2: Sunday, May 17th at 11:10am
The May Deep Stack Series continues through Memorial Day with more than $400,000 in guaranteed prize pools, highlighted by Event 13, the $500 Monster Stack featuring a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
