The Daytona Beach Poker Open $250,000 Guaranteed Event 13 Main Event started strong as Flights 13A and 13B wrapped up, sending players through to Day 2 and setting the tone for another deep championship run.
Flight 13A drew a field of 73 total entries, with 9 players punching their ticket to Day 2. When the bags were collected at the end of the night, it was William Davis leading the way.
Davis finished the flight as the chip leader with 742,000 units, putting himself in strong position heading into the next stage of the Main Event.
Action continued with Flight 13B, which brought in 49 entries and saw 7 players advance to Day 2. After a hard-fought session, Stephen H. closed out the night atop the counts. Stephen H. secured the Flight 13B chip lead with 452,000 units.
With two flights in the books, the DBPO Main Event is shaping up with solid numbers, growing stacks, and plenty of poker still to be played. As additional flights remain, players will continue battling for chips and position in the hunt for a share of the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
