Luke Becker Finishes as Runner Up

Luke Becker of Palm Beach battled his way through the massive Quarter Million Multi-Room Mayhem field to finish in 2nd place, earning $50,507.

In Hand #192, with blinds at 1,000,000/500,000/1,000,000, Luke limped from the button with A♠7♦. Don Tenney moved all in for 50 million, and Luke made the call for his tournament life with 18 million. Don showed A♦6♦, and the board ran out 9♦ Q♠ 7♥ 8♣ 5♥, pairing Luke’s seven but giving Don the straight on the river to seal the victory.

After the match, Luke reflected on his experience: “I love it here. There’s really good food, and there’s some good players in it. I just really enjoyed it.” While he came up just shy of the top spot, Luke was pleased with his performance. “I think I played really good. I think I might have bluffed a little too much toward the final table, but it worked.”

The $50,507 payday marks a life-changing score for Luke, who said he plans to save, invest, and play more poker. Congratulations to Luke Becker on an incredible run in the inaugural Quarter Million Multi-Room Mayhem.
