After eight starting flights in Daytona Beach, the tournament stands at 619 total entries. A total of 62 players have advanced to Day 2, with an average stack of 285,000 chips. Three players have managed to double bag, earning $1,000 bonuses and guaranteed minimum cash payouts for each additional bag beyond their largest. Maroun Akiki remains the overall chip leader with 713,000 in chips.
The action now shifts to Orange City, where play resumes Wednesday, August 26, at 11:10 am. With multiple flights still to come, there’s plenty of opportunity for new challengers to join the field and make a run at the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
