The starting flights for Multi-Room Mayhem III are officially in the books, and the stage is set for Day 2. The final two flights, 1O and 1P, added another 250 entries to the field, bringing the tournament total to 1,335 entries and creating a prize pool of $267,000. When play resumes on Sunday, June 21 at 11:10 a.m., 119 players will return with one goal in mind: positioning themselves for a shot at the title and the tournament’s $50,000 first-place prize.
Flight 1O generated 147 entries and advanced 15 players to Day 2. Leading the way was Ledonshay Johnson, who put together the biggest stack of the entire tournament, bagging an impressive 903,000 chips. Johnson’s performance not only secured the Flight 1O chip lead but also vaulted him to the top of the overall leaderboard heading into Day 2.
The final opportunity to qualify came in Flight 1P, which attracted 103 entries and advanced 11 players. Flight honors went to Anish Patel, who finished the evening with 673,000 chips. Patel has enjoyed success in Daytona Beach and Orange City over the years and now finds himself well-positioned for a deep run as the tournament reaches its most critical stage.
Across all sixteen starting flights, players earned 141 bags. Those bags condensed into a returning field of 119 unique players after accounting for the 22 players who successfully advanced in multiple flights. Enos Smith led all competitors with four bags, while five additional players managed to advance three times during the series.
When cards are back in the air, players will return to Level 13 with 16 minutes and 51 seconds remaining. With duplicate bags removed from play, the average stack entering Day 2 will sit at approximately 300,000 chips, creating plenty of play as competitors navigate their way toward the final stages of the tournament.
The field has now been narrowed from 1,335 entries to just 119 returning players, but the journey is far from over. Day 2 action on Sunday will continue until only six players remain. Those six finalists will return on Monday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. to battle for the Multi-Room Mayhem III title and the $50,000 top prize.
