The $100,000 Guaranteed $300 Kickoff officially crossed the six-figure mark Friday evening at Orange City Poker as Flight 1E added another 86 entries to the rapidly growing field.
After the field played down to 11 advancing players, Joey Burns bagged the Flight 1E chip lead with 405,000 in chips.
Burns enters Day 2 with one of the strongest résumés remaining in the field, boasting nearly $300,000 in documented live tournament earnings. His career highlights include a third-place finish in the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Signature Poker Series for $79,380, a victory in the 2023 bestbet Jacksonville $100,000 Guaranteed event for $28,000, and multiple deep runs throughout Florida’s major tournament circuit.
Through five starting flights, the $300 Kickoff has now reached:
- 416 total entries
- $104,000 prize pool
- 55 players advancing to Day 2
- 3 players earning multi-bag bonuses
Rolando Martinez remains the overall chip leader with 501,000, while the current returning average stack sits at 225,000.
Three players have successfully multi-bagged the event so far, including Kim Unger, who has already bagged three separate flights.
As of now, players returning for Day 2 are scheduled to resume in Level 14 with 22 minutes and 13 seconds remaining on the clock.
Still remaining are:
- Flight 1F: Saturday, May 16th
- Flight 1G: Saturday, May 16th at 4:10pm (20-minute levels)
- Day 2: Sunday, May 17th at 11:10am
With the guarantee now surpassed and two starting flights still remaining, the stage is set for a massive weekend finish to the opening event of the May Deep Stack Series.
