Daytona Beach Poker Open – Tyler Denson Leads Flight 1A

The Daytona Beach Poker Open kicked off Wednesday with the first starting flight of Event 1: Almighty Stack No Limit Hold’em, drawing 66 total entries in Flight 1A as players began their pursuit of a share of the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. After a full day of action inside the Daytona Beach Poker Room, the field was trimmed down to just nine players who successfully bagged chips and advanced to Day 2.

Leading the way at the end of the night is Tyler Denson, who finished Flight 1A with a commanding 1,840,000 chips, well ahead of the 733,000 average stack among advancing players. With the first flight complete, the current prize pool has climbed to $22,110, and several more starting flights remain for players looking to build a stack before the field returns for Day 2.

Players also have additional incentive to take multiple shots at building a big stack. Those who manage to bag chips in more than one starting flight will earn the Multi-Bag Bonus worth $1,200 plus a minimum cash, adding extra value for players willing to fire again in the Almighty Stack.

There is also added value awaiting those who make a deep run. The final nine players in the event will each receive a $300 seat into Event 11: Mystery Bounty, another marquee tournament on the Daytona Beach Poker Open schedule.

Flight 1A is just the beginning of what promises to be a busy and exciting series.
