Friday brought two of the biggest turnouts yet in the Orange City Poker Almighty Stack as Flights 1D and 1E combined to add more than 200 entries to the growing prize pool and reshape the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend.
Flight 1D drew an impressive 107 entries, and after nearly seventeen full levels of play, 14 players secured their bags for Day 2. The flight concluded with 6:07 remaining in Level 17, which currently stands as the time players will return to on Sunday unless Flights 1F or 1G finish even earlier. Maikel Cruz rose to the top of the flight, finishing with 2,190,000, the largest stack of the tournament at that time.
The evening session, Flight 1E, mirrored the momentum with 105 entries, producing another 14 Day 2 qualifiers and once again a new tournament chip leader. Maurice Jabbour surged to the top of the standings, bagging 2,420,000, giving him the overall lead heading into Saturday’s final two flights.
With five flights now in the books, the Almighty Stack has reached 441 total entries, sending 57 players through to Sunday’s Day 2. The prize pool has climbed to $110,250, officially surpassing the $100,000 guarantee, and the average stack sits at 773,000.
Players still have two more chances to secure a seat in Day 2 with Flights 1F and 1G on Saturday before the field combines on Sunday, November 16th at 11:10am to play for the Almighty title.
